Starting a business, developing a cutting-edge technology, marketing a new product, expanding to new territory, boarding an airplane and even driving to work all have one thing in common - RISK! The Risk factor is a reality that every aspiring business and its leadership must embrace, harness and master. Without fully comprehending the truth of this principle, the dream of becoming a success at anything in life is a mirage. Success can never be attained without risk otherwise everyone can attain it. Any successful individual in life knows that risk is a constant ingredient in the formula for success, even more so in the financial sector.

Many have been paralyzed because of the fear of failure. Most do not dare to pursue a potentially successful dream due to the thought of failure. Failure is simply the wrong way of achieving set objectives, which in essence streamlines the choices for future pursuits. Failure is designed to inform and improve your chances at success, not eliminate your dreams from coming to fruition. Learn from your failures but never be afraid to take risks. The most successful people on Earth today understand that without risk, it is impossible to encounter enduring success.

It is natural to be afraid of taking risks due to the self-preservative nature in man however, it will become inert if you understand its purpose and start pursuing your goals. Do not dwell on past failures, rather learn and extract wisdom from them for future success. Yes, there will always be an element of risk involved; Yes, there will be challenges, even setbacks on the road to success but likewise YES, failure is guaranteed if nothing is done to get the vision rolling by taking risks.

Learn to network with credible resources; Build confidence in your dreams and visions; Keep working at the cracks until it becomes rock solid; Stay informed by constantly reading; Sharpen your skills by improving your intellectual and emotional worth; Think on how to improve the shortcomings of present solutions; Develop the discipline of studying the laws of creativity; Discover the secrets of successful people; Become the best in your field of endeavor and so much more… BUT REMEMBER all of the above can only attain NOTHING without overcoming the fear of failure by taking tangible but well informed risk!

 

2012 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS

 

Change has come to America?! As citizens of the United States of America, we all had the opportunity to vote during this elections. God is never interested in party affiliation, race, gender, personal ideologies or religion for that matter: His focus has always been the advancement of His precepts on Earth (Matthew 6:33); It was so painfully obvious that the Church was nonchalant and divided on what to stand for; while sadly a vast majority thought it was best to abstain from partaking in our civic duty both to God and our nation! Whatever your values or position might be: it is necessary to understand the issues and know why a Kingdom-informed perspective takes us beyond red versus blue or liberal versus conservative tags. It is God who institutes the framework of government (1 Corinthians 12:28) for our own good but we all cannot run for the white house nor can anyone implement "change" (which by the way could be positive or negative, for better or for worse) by standing back and doing nothing: Therefore we strongly encourage everyone to come together as one great nation that we are and revert to the commandments of the Word of  God to continually pray for our leaders and those in authority according to 1 Timothy 2:1-3 which states "I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone - for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior". Remember the famous words of one of the foremost political thinkers of 18th century England, Edmund Burke "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing".

 

It is expedient that the Church rises to the occasion of taking responsibility for our country, the culture and communities in which we dwell. Freedom is not free, a substantial price was paid by our founding fathers which culminates in the declaration of independence and constitution which we consider the fabric of our creed and civil liberty as a people, the platform for the position which our nation holds globally. Never forget that governments are vital to any civilized people but it cannot do what God has called the Church to do. We must continually strive for the peace of all men and the well-being of humanity. We should be thrilled to see history as it unravels without losing sight of God's mandate and the purpose for which we were created. We must indeed become true ambassadors (representatives) of Jesus Christ and His Kingdom on Earth!
